Honoring Those Lost: This Thanksgiving and Beyond, Let’s Celebrate Diversity

Many American families will sit down this week and give thanks. Topping their lists, no doubt, will be gratitude for health, security, and togetherness.  But the recent deadly attack on members of the LGBTQ+ community is a stark and tragic reminder that not all are able to enjoy these basic rights or participate in this cherished tradition.

On November 19th, five were killed and the peace of mind of countless others was shattered by another act of violence against the LGBTQ+ community.  As we give thanks for our family and friends this year, we acknowledge the deep loss, anger, and fear experienced by so many.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who were impacted by these senseless acts of hatred and bigotry.
