Publications Associate

As a key member of Prime Buchholz's marketing team, the Publications Associate coordinates and participates in a variety of editorial, layout/design, and production activities required in preparing and distributing a wide range of publications to clients, prospects, and other key constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Copyedit/proofread research publications
  • Create and manage editorial calendar
  • Assist in maintaining marketing database and calendar
  • Conduct industry research as required
  • Support marketing compliance process
  • Maintain disclosures library
  • Develop presentation content and graphics
  • Write client communications pieces
  • Assist the marketing team in continuing to build out our messaging platform
  • Manage Prime Buchholz Writing Guidelines
  • Assist in the content development of proposals; set up and write proposals, as necessary
  • Handle production requirements (printing, punching, binding, etc.).

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in layout of sponsorship ads
  • Maintain files
  • Perform administrative marketing activities as necessary
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Qualifications

  • Two years editorial/proofing experience
  • College degree and industry knowledge preferred
  • Excellent computer skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office platform, in particular, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access
  • Graphic design skills (or aptitude to learn)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to act as liaison between various departments
  • Commitment to incremental improvement
  • Self-motivation and willingness to take ownership of projects
  • Ability to interpret a variety of suggestions and instructions furnished in various formats

Performance Analyst

The primary responsibility of the Performance Analyst is to analyze portfolio data and reconcile investment performance. Daily activities involve interaction with custodial banks, mutual fund companies, and investment managers to gather client account information. Other responsibilities include preparing and maintaining client reports, both monthly and quarterly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliverables include monthly client executive summaries and quarterly client reports
  • Calculate and reconcile monthly investment valuations, transactions, and performance returns
  • Provide a high level of accurate, timely, and comprehensive performance reporting
  • Interaction with custodial banks, mutual fund companies, and investment managers
  • Maintain monthly cash flows for assigned clients
  • Work in a team environment with analysts and senior investment professionals
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for clients and principals of the firm

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or business related field
  • 1 to 2 years of financial industry experience; investment industry preferred
  • General investment knowledge required
  • Strong attention to detail, strict adherence to deadlines, and advanced problem-solving skills on a consistent basis
  • Must be a team player with effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically with respect to chart generation and linking data sources in Excel
